Terms of use

Fender BCS — last updated 15 October 2026

Fender BCS is the business system shared by Fender Steel Ltd and BCS Products Ltd (“the companies”). These terms apply to everyone who signs in to it. By signing in you agree to follow them. They sit alongside your contract of employment or engagement and the companies' other policies; where they overlap, those come first.

Who can use it

Only employees and contractors of the companies who have been given a login, and only for the companies' business. Your login gives you the parts of the system your job needs; a manager or administrator can change that.

Your login

  • Keep your password to yourself, and don't use one you use anywhere else.
  • Don't let anyone else use your login, and don't use anyone else's. What's done under your login is recorded as done by you. The only exception is a shared screen an administrator has set up with its own login, such as the delivery board.
  • Sign out on any device you share. On your own phone, keep a screen lock on.
  • If you think someone else has used your login, or you've lost a phone you're signed in on, tell a manager straight away so it can be locked.

Using it properly

  • Enter information truthfully and as it happens. Production records, cast numbers, dimensional checks, vehicle and machine checks, deliveries and timesheets are business and safety records that customers, auditors (including CARES) and inspectors rely on. Recording something that didn't happen, or in someone else's name, is serious misconduct.
  • Don't try to see or change anything your login doesn't give you, or get round the system's checks and permissions.
  • Don't upload anything unlawful, offensive or unrelated to work, or anything that could carry a virus.
  • If something in the system looks wrong, or you've made a mistake, tell a manager rather than working round it.

Customers', suppliers' and colleagues' information

The system holds personal details about customers, suppliers and your colleagues. Use them only for your work, don't copy, download, photograph or send them anywhere else unless your job needs it, and never share them with anyone outside the companies without a manager's say-so. How the companies use personal details is set out in the privacy policy.

What's recorded

The system keeps a record of who did what and when: rows logged, checks done, orders and deliveries changed, and so on. That record can be used to put mistakes right, to investigate a problem or a complaint, and, if it comes to it, in a disciplinary matter.

When it isn't available

The system is provided as it is and may sometimes be unavailable, for example for maintenance or if a service it relies on goes down. If it's down, keep a written note of the work and enter it once it's back.

Breaking these terms

Your access can be suspended or removed if these terms are broken, and it may be dealt with under the companies' disciplinary procedure.

When you leave

Your access ends when you leave the companies. Everything you entered stays with the companies as part of their records. Sign out of the system on any personal phone or computer before you go.

Changes, and the law

These terms may be updated; the date at the top shows when. They're governed by the law of England and Wales.
